CRANSTON, R.I. (WPRI) — For the past 38 years, the Cranston Sports Collectors Show has been drawing thousands of fans who can buy, sell, and even trade some of their most prized memorabilia.
It’s both the largest and the oldest one-day show of its kind, and it also helps support a local church.
Over the years, it’s helped raise almost a quarter of a million dollars for the Immaculate Conception Parish in Cranston.
The show takes place from 8:30 a.m. until 4 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 1 at the West Valley Inn. Admission is $3.
Parish Chairman Thomas McDonough stopped by Friday morning to discuss the show, and he brought along some prized items from his collection.
