FALL RIVER, MASS. (WPRI) – A tractor-trailer truck pulled down low-hanging power lines in Fall River Saturday morning after a pole was damaged in a separate car crash.

Police tell Eyewitness News that shortly before 11 a.m., a car struck a pole on President Avenue near Davol Street. That crash was minor, but it damaged the pole and the wires attached to it sagged doover the road.

A tractor-trailer that was driving by shortly after the accident apparently got caught on those low-hanging wires and pulled them down, also taking down two other utility poles in the process.

Nobody was hurt in the incident and police and utility crews remained on scene for several hours.
