SMITHFIELD, R.I. (WPRI) – Actress Viola Davis delivers the keynote address at a women’s event at Bryant University early Friday afternoon.
Davis, the two-time Oscar nominee and Central Falls native, returned to Rhode Island to participate in Bryant’s 17th Annual Women’s Summit. The summit, according to the university, promotes professional and economic empowerment for women.
Davis delivered her remarks around 1 p.m. Friday.
She was nominated for Academy Awards for her work in 2008’s “Doubt” and 2012’s “The Help.”
