Siblings face human trafficking charges

Siblings Peterson and Johanne Raymond were arrested in Taunton and charged with human trafficking.

TAUNTON, Mass. (WPRI/AP) — A brother and sister from Taunton are facing charges for allegedly holding a mentally disabled woman against her will, drugging her and arranging for her to have sex for a fee.

Authorities say Peterson Raymond and Johanne Raymond were arraigned Thursday on charges including trafficking a person for sexual servitude, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, kidnapping and threatening to commit a crime. Both were held on bail after pleading not guilty. It was not clear who their lawyers were.

Walsh says the suspects met the alleged victim online and held her in their apartment.

Johanne is being held on $10,000 bail and Peterson is held on $50,000 bail. They are both due back in court in April.
