Thousands run in New Bedford Half Marathon

NEW BEDFORD, Mass. (WPRI) – Security was tight for the 37th Annual New Bedford Half Marathon Sunday.

The race drew over three thousand runners and more than 100 New Bedford police officers patrolled the the route.

It kicked off at 11 a.m. and the winners crossed the finish line after a little more than an hour on the pavement.
