PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) – Members of the WPRI team volunteered their Saturday to help fix up a local school.
On-air and off-air staff helped out at the Carl. G. Lauro Elementary School, which serves a population of about 990 students, making it the biggest elementary school in Rhode Island. The building was in need of some fixing-up and was looking for community partners to assist.

The volunteers scraped, sanded and painted the area around the main office, which is a high-traffic area that badly needed the repainting.
