EAST GREENWICH, R.I. (WPRI) – Domestic assault and disorderly conduct charges against an East Greenwich councilman were dismissed on Friday, court documents revealed.
Brad Bishop, 56, was arrested in connection to an incident that happened inside of his home. Court records indicate the charges were filed against him in early March, and that Bishop was released on personal recognizance.
A no contact order was also issued against him, but the order was later dropped.
Bishop was elected to the town council in 2012 after he was appointed to fill the term of another council member. He had served on the town planning board for several years before winning the council post.
