Police seek driver in weekend hit-and-run

NARRAGANSETT, R.I. (WPRI) – Investigators are actively searching for the driver of a car involved in a weekend hit-and-run accident.

According to Narragansett police, a pedestrian was struck by a car around 12:30 on Saturday morning at the intersection of Point Judith Road and Sand Hill Cove Road. The vehicle fled the scene.

The victim was treated at South County Hospital and is expected to survive.

Police are searching for a 4-door vehicle that may have sustained minor damage to the front bumper and passenger side.
