Dunkin’ Donuts delivers eggs to food bank

With Easter about a week away, Dunkin’ Donuts has delivered on their vow to donate to food banks across the country as way of promoting their new breakfast sandwich.

Dunkin’ Donuts’ promise was to donate one egg to Feeding America® for every Eggs Benedict Breakfast Sandwich sold in the first week of March.

On Wednesday, April 9, The Rhode Island Community Food Bank received a delivery of 81,900 eggs from America’s Egg Farmers on behalf of Dunkin’ Donuts.

The Rhode Island Community Food Bank is one of eight food banks across America to receive a large donation of eggs as a result of the program. Dunkin’ Donuts has donated more than $1 million over the past 5 years to support Feeding America® and local food banks.

Lisa Roth Blackman, Chief Philanthropy Officer at the RI Food Bank, calls the 8,625 dozen eggs “an incredibly helpful donation.”
