PAWTUCKET, R.I. (WPRI) — A third suspect has been arrested in connection with a murder in Pawtucket last Christmas Eve, city police confirm.
Police said Tyron M. Wilcox, 21, of 6 Ware Ct. in Providence, was taken into custody Thursday and charged with murder and conspiracy.
The victim, 21-year-old Ryan Almeida, was shot on Dec. 24 and later died from his injuries at the hospital.
Only Eyewitness News was there as Wilcox was arraigned in District Court Friday and ordered held without bail.
He’s the third suspect arrested for Almeida’s murder. Daquan Watts, 20, was arrested in Maine Wednesday and ordered held without bail on the same charges. A 17-year-old suspect was arrested and charged April 4, and according to court documents we obtained, he admitted to driving Watts and another man to the murder scene.
