4 crews help knock down W. Warwick fire

WEST WARWICK, R.I. (WPRI) – Fire officials and rescue crews were called to the scene of a house fire that broke out early Monday afternoon.

Firefighters responded to 34 Epworth Avenue in West Warwick just after 1:30 p.m.

Rescue crews from neighboring communities including Warwick, Cranston, and Coventry responded to the scene. The Emergency Management Agency and Red Cross were also called in to assist residents.

The flames were quickly knocked down.

It is unclear if anyone was home at the time or if any injuries were reported.

Fire officials are currently investigating the cause of the fire.
