JOHNSTON, R.I. (WPRI) — A grand jury has indicted a 23-year-old Johnston man on charges of arson, conspiracy and breaking and entering — in two different incidents last fall, in the space of a few weeks in Johnston.

Brian Rosa was arrested along with a juvenile after police gathered evidence that the two broke into a vacant house on Greenville Avenue in Johnston on November 3, 2013 and set fire to it. Rosa was also suspected of stealing pipes from the building, but the grand jury did not charge him with larceny.

Rosa was also indicted for breaking into a vacant house on Yale Avenue on October 24 and setting fire to it.

The grand jury indictment found there was evidence to continue on charges of two counts of first degree arson, four counts of conspiracy and two counts of breaking and entering for Rosa.

According to the office of Attorney General Peter F. Kilmartin, Rosa is scheduled to be arraigned in Providence County Superior Court on April 30, 2014.
