Short film contest great opportunity for students

Calling all high school students! Have you dreamed about working in film? A new contest is asking you to give it a shot.

Meredith Nordhem, Marketing Manager of NewportFILM, joined the Rhode Show Monday morning to talk about “The Ripple Effect” short film contest.

The objective of the competition is to create a short film of 5 minutes or less using that statement: “I live in Rhode Island, the Ocean State” emphasizing the coastline and waterways of Rhode Island.

Students are asked to submit their films by Tuesday, April 25, for the opportunity to have it premiered at a NewportFILM event on May 22.
