PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) – The murder trial for a Providence man accused of shooting and killing a local father last June is scheduled to begin Monday morning.
Judier Dixon, 19, is accused of opening fire while driving down Leah Street in Providence. Investigators say several bullets fired by Dixon hit 46-year-0ld Richard Arenas in the head while he was working on a car outside his home.
Arenas was pronounced dead at the scene.
Dixon pleaded not guilty to his charges at his arraignment last December.
He has been held without bail since he was arrested in July.
