A celebration of the best in the culinary world of Rhode Island is set to highlight local farmers, chefs, bartenders and food and drink artisans from around the state.
David Dadekian, President of Eat Drink RI! joined The Rhode Show to talk more about this great event. Dadekian was just awarded a grant for his new business by the Rhode Island Foundation.
The celebration is happening from April 24-27. It will include banquets and information seminars.
The festivities will kick off on Thursday with a six-course feast crafted by eight of Rhode Island’s top chefs at Gracie’s in Providence. Then, check out the Truck Stop at the Bank of America City Center on Friday. More than 16 food trucks will deliver a diverse selection of uncommon eats. Live music from the bluesy Superchief Trio will also be there to get you dancing.
Also, the Biltmore Hotel will host the Grand Tasting on Saturday and the Grand Brunch on Sunday. There will be over 40 local exhibitors at the Grand Tasting.
A portion of the proceeds will go to the AIDS Project Rhode Island and the RI Philharmonic Foundations in Learning Exploration.
