BOSTON (WPRI) — Most of Monday’s Boston Marathon spectators will head to area MBTA stations, to take advantage of the fastest and most hassle-free way to get there.
At the train station, Eyewitness News encountered Kate Bliss, who was a medical volunteer at the finish line last year and will be again this year.
“I feel like if i didn’t go back I would be letting the fear take over,” she said, “That’s why I’m going back.”
Kate wasn’t alone Monday morning as thousands got ready to travel to Boston. Train after train filled with dozen of people, all wearing Boston Strong shirts or Red Sox gear, all heading to the marathon to support runners.
Eyewitness News reporter Steve Nielsen was on board a train to Boston to chat with local spectators.
