(WPRI) – The Providence College men’s basketball team had its most successful season in decades, shocking the Big East by marching through the conference tournament en route to a title and sending fans of the University of North Carolina to the edge of their collective seat by coming just two points away from a first-round upset in the NCAA tournament.
Senior forward Kadeem Batts had a lot to with that success.
Batts, along with fellow senior Bryce Cotton, provided veteran leadership and consistent play throughout the season to help carry PC as far as it went this year.
But, after four years in Friartown, Batts is set to graduate. Although his time in the Dunkin’ Donuts Center is over, Batts doesn’t think he’ll be hanging up his sneakers anytime soon.
The Rhode Show’s Michaela Johnson sat down with the PC star during the show on Friday. You can see the entire interview, including Batts’ reflections on the Friars’ magical season and his thoughts on the NBA draft, by clicking play on the video above.
