PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — Providence Fire officials are investigating a fire in the West End, on Hollis Street, shortly before midnight Friday morning.

Eyewitnesses said two people had been removed from the home while the building was burning. It’s not clear if they lived there. Neighbors said they believed the home had been vacant.
