MMA fighter arrested on warrant at Twin River

LINCOLN, R.I. (WPRI) — State police arrested a Mixed Martial Arts fighter from Ohio shortly before he was to fight in a match at Twin River Friday night.

Joshue Killion, 23, of Findlay, Ohio, was scheduled to participate in a fight Friday night against MMA fighter Andre Soukhamthath of Woonsocket, but was a no-show for the match.

State police said they arrested Killion at 6:45 p.m. on an outstanding arrest warrant out of Ohio. Police in Ohio had alerted Rhode Island State Police that Killion was scheduled for the fight at Twin River; police said he was arrested without incident.

Killion was presented as a fugitive from justice before a Justice of the Peace and will be held at the ACI in Cranston until his arraignment in District Court in Warwick on Monday.
