Police seek ice cream shop robbery suspect

MIDDLETOWN, R.I. (WPRI) – Police are asking for the public’s help to solve a burglary at a Middletown ice cream shop.

According to police, the suspect entered Frosty Freeze on East Main Road around 10:40 p.m. on April 10.

Surveillance photos showed the suspect entering the building though a small ground floor rectangular window. The suspect stole thousands of dollars from the shop before taking off, police said.

He is described as a white male with the medium build. The night of the burglary he was wearing a bulky, dark-colored hooded sweatshirt, gloves, and carried a small crowbar.
