Some dog food products recalled; illnesses reported

(WPRI) – Bravo! is recalling select products in its Bravo! Pet Food line which may be contaminated with Listeria.

The recalled product was distributed nationwide to retail stores, internet retailers, and directly to consumers. On the company’s website it lists numerous stores in both Rhode Island and Massachusetts that sold the pet food.

The recalled products include:

Raw Food Diet Bravo! Beef Blend for Dogs and Cats (Made in New Zealand)

Bravo! has received some reports of dogs experiencing nausea and diarrhea that may be associated with these products.

In a statement, Bravo! says it is issuing this action ‘Out of an abundance of caution and sincerely regrets any inconvenience to pet owners.’

Pet owners who have the affected product at home should throw it away carefully and secure it in a covered trash can. You can also return to the store it was purchased and submit a product recall claim form.
