EAST PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) – This week on Newsmakers: GOP candidate for governor Ken Block. Earlier this week Gov. Lincoln Chafee lashed out at those who think the state should not repay the 38 Studios bond, calling them “unfit” to be governor. As one of the targets to Chafee’s comments, Block lays out his reasoning to hold off on the payments. He also releases internal poll numbers that he says show a double-digit lead over his Republican challenger Allan Fung.
