Woman hospitalized, driver charged after Exeter crash

EXETER, R.I. (WPRI) — A single car crash in Exeter sent one person to the hospital. It happened just after 10 p.m. Sunday on Glen Rock Road.

According to police, a female passenger, 27 year old Jennifer Curran was partially ejected from the car. She was taken to Rhode Island Hospital with non-life threatening injuries and released Monday.

Police said the driver, 24-year-old Robert Curran, a relative of Jennifer, was not hurt and is being held on a DUI charge.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
