FOXBORO, Mass. (WPRI) – Members of the New England Patriots, including Julian Edelman and Rob Gronkowski, took their exercise message to one Foxboro elementary school on Thursday.
The Patriots were there as part of the NFL’s ‘Play Sixty’ program, which encourages kids to get an hour of exercise per day.
The program is now taking its message to a new group – senior citizens. Patriots owner Robert Kraft is 72 years old and says he works out six times per week.
“It gets your juices going….you feel so much better,” he said.
A new study shows that 30% of seniors in fair health get little to no exercise.
