WARWICK, R.I. (WPRI) — Warwick police are seeking the public’s help in identifying a man accused of shoplifting an air compressor from Walmart.

Police said the man tore the UPC code off a lesser-priced item and used it to pay $15 cash for a Bostich air compressor worth $269 at the Post Road store.

The man then left in a white pickup truck, possibly a Chevrolet Silverado, with unknown registration, according to police.

Anyone with information about the suspect is asked to contact the Det. Thomas DiGregorio of the Warwick Police Department at (401) 468-4200 ext. 4237.
