PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) – Providence College is planning to launch a new In Case of Crisis emergency mobile app.
Real-time emergency plans, procedures and incident reporting capabilities during emergencies will be available to the entire campus community in cases of fire, severe weather, violence or other emergencies.
There are more than 5,000 students, faculty and staff that are regularly on the 100-acre campus.
The mobile app will provide guidance on specific situations, offering step-by-step actions to take in cases of fire, severe weather and other emergencies.
With an advanced incident reporting feature, the app will help the campus community communicate information quickly and provide an anonymous environment for students to ask questions or seek help.
The app will launch during the fall of 2014.
