It’s Friday the 13th and we are buzzing about wedding day superstitions!
We’ve all heard that it’s bad luck for the groom to see the bride in her gown before she walks down the aisle. But, many couples today are actually choosing to take photos before the ceremony.
There’s also the belief that the single gal to catch the bouquet will be the next to marry.
Other traditions include, the groom carrying the bride across the threshold of their home. This is done because back in Medieval Europe, the bride was extra vulnerable to evil spirits through the soles of her feet.
And wearing a veil started in Rome because the bride would disguise herself from evil spirits who were jealous of her happiness.
