This weekend was the official start to summer, which means many Rhode Island families are heading to the beach. But what will it take for people to start wearing sunscreen?
A recent study shows that teens are more willing to wear sunscreen, and not because of the health concerns. The leader of this study showed some high school students an educational video that showed them that too much sun-bathing will lead to premature aging of the skin.
That got the students changing their minds about tanning. Apparently vanity is a driving force to using sun screen, and not the threat of developing skin cancer.
What drives you to wear sunscreen, the fear of developing cancer or getting wrinkles?
