CENTRAL FALLS, R.I. (WPRI) — A West Warwick man accused of murdering his wife in Central Falls entered a plea of not guilty on Wednesday.
A Providence Superior Court judge ordered Robert Bethea, 45, held without bail. He was previously charged with domestic murder and violating a no contact order.
According to police, officers responded to 149 Valley Street just before 5 a.m. on Mother’s Day for a report of a disturbance. When police arrived they found Shelina Moreino (Bethea), 41, stabbed to death on the kitchen floor of her second floor apartment. Bethea was indicted in the killing back in May.
Police said the accused killer was the one who alerted police to the alleged crime.
He is due back in court on July 28.
