FALL RIVER, Mass. (WPRI) – A scary situation in Fall River was diffused Tuesday night, as police were able to take an armed man into custody without incident.
Fall River police responded to a storage facility on Davol Street around 5 p.m. Tuesday after receiving reports that someone had fired a gun. As soon as they arrived at the scene, police said they located a male on top of the storage facility’s roof. The suspect, police said, was holding a weapon.
Police officers said they were able to take the suspect, identified only as a 29-year-old male, into custody. No serious injuries were reported.
The suspect was taken to Charlton Memorial Hospital for medical evaluation. Police said criminal charges were pending further investigation.
