CRANSTON, R.I. (WPRI) – Whenever rain clouds appear on the horizon, Cranston resident Anthony Riccio starts planning for the worst.
“Every time it rains,” Riccio said, “I have to send my workers home… I never know what to expect.”
Riccio’s business is located near the Pocasset River on Fletcher Avenue in Cranston. Since he bought his building back in 1980, Riccio said it’s flooded more times than he can count.

“They’ve tried everything. They put a big pipe in the street one time… it didn’t work,” Riccio said. “What are you going to do? You’re going to live with it.”
With the threat of more storms Tuesday night into Wednesday morning, Riccio said he is preparing for another bad day.
