FALL RIVER, Mass. (WPRI) — Aaron Hernandez’s defense team wants his murder trial pushed back three months.
Hernandez is scheduled to go on trial for the murder of Odin Lloyd on October 6th. In court documents filed Wednesday, lawyers for the former New England Patriots tight end request the trial be delayed to January 5th, 2015. The defense says they may need more time to prepare.
Hernandez has pleaded not guilty to Lloyd’s 2013 murder, and the murders of two men in Boston in 2012.
