Man pleads not guilty to killing Woonsocket woman

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — A man accused of killing a woman in Woonsocket last year pleaded not guilty in court Wednesday.

A judge ordered Brian Audette, 45, of Warwick, held without bail in the murder of 57-year-old Donna Pike.

Pike was found dead in her Rathbun Street apartment in April of 2013 after her landlord reported her missing. Police said she lived alone, and had recently moved to Woonsocket from Providence.

Audette is already serving a seven-and-a-half year sentence for violating his probation.

He’s due back in court for a pretrial hearing October 16.
