PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) – Anna Lysyanskaya is a computer science professor at Brown University. Originally from Ukraine, she moved to the United States when she was 17 years old. She said Thursday’s airline disaster is just the latest horrifying twist in a crisis that has gripped her for months.
Lysyanskaya joined Eyewitness News on Friday to talk to reporter Jared Pliner about the situation.

“My first reaction was… ‘Oh my god, this is just heartbreaking,’” Lysyanskaya said.
