Take a ‘Ride Round Rhody’ for cancer

A local group is once again gearing up for a great event to promote healthy living while providing support in the fight against cancer.

Now in its sixth year, “Ride Rhode Rhody” raises funds necessary for cancer treatment at local hospitals. It will take place August 10 at Bryant University, located at 1150 Douglas Avenue in Smithfield.

The event acts as the main fundraiser for LIFEcycle, Inc., a Rhode Island non-profit organization with a mission to promote active lifestyles and cancer awareness.

Their founders are the husband-and-wife team of Jacob and Dani Brier, who joined us Monday to give us the scoop on how it all works and how you can get involved.
