State Police K-9 finds cocaine hidden in car

WALPOLE, Mass. (WPRI) – A Massachusetts State Police K-9 helped troopers find a large amount of cocaine hidden behind a car’s dashboard.

Troopers pulled over thMASP Walpole K9 Drug Arrest 1e vehicle Monday around 4:30 p.m. on Route 1 in Walpole.

During the traffic stop, one of the troopers says he noticed several indicators of possible illegal narcotics activity.

He checked the driver and found that he had an active arrest warrant for trafficking cocaine, so he was taken into custody.

The trooper then deployed K-9 Rocky for a narcotics sniff of the vehicle. Rocky alerted the trooper to the vehicle’s radio.

The trooper checked the area further and discovered an aftermarket compartment built in behind the radio, and says he found about 76 grams of cocaine inside.
