SEEKONK, Mass. (WPRI) — Former First Lady, Secretary of State, and possible 2016 presidential candidate, Hillary Clinton, was at Sam’s Club Saturday afternoon promoting her new book, Hard Choices.
Hundreds of supporters passed through her line, some of whom had waited since last night to meet her.
“My father got here last night”, said Kurt Deion. “He was the very first person in line. He’s been here since midnight and hasn’t slept in probably 26, 27 hours.”
Deion, a history major at Bryant University, also did something bold. He handed Clinton a card, bearing the name of his website, chronicling his visits to every presidential and vice presidential burial site. Deion said she was amazed by the feat.
“She took two actually. One for her and one for former President Clinton.”
But Tara Metters, 11, of Woburn, perhaps said the most pointed thing to Clinton, prompting a high five.
“I said, ‘I’m ready, are you?'”
Though Metters won’t be able to Vote in 2016. she’ll be behind Clinton if she goes all in.
