BOURNE, MASS. (WPRI) – A man was flown to Rhode Island Hospital after being repeatedly stabbed with what police described as a samurai sword Sunday morning.
Bourne Police report that at about 1:30 a.m. they received a report of a man attacking another with a sword at 355 Shore Road.
Officers found a 39 year-old man who had been seriously injured, who said he’d been stabbed several times and that his attacker was still nearby.
Police found a 28 year-old man in a side yard of the home and arrested him, also recovering the weapon.
The victim was taken to the State Police Barracks before being flown to Rhode Island Hospital in Providence via helicopter. There’s no word on his condition Sunday afternoon.
Police did not release the names of either man.
