PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) – A man was arrested Tuesday after reportedly throwing chairs and causing a scene on Woody Allen’s Providence movie set, according to on-duty security personnel on the set.
Providence Police Major David Lapatin said the suspect they took into custody was named Mark Spiridakos.
Woody Allen’s security guards said a man – identified as Spiridakos – came to the set on the Providence River and began asking “weird questions” about the movie’s stars. They said the man “made a scene” – throwing punches and chairs and getting into an altercation with security officers.
Police said he hit a security guard with a lunch pail before he fled the scene.
Spiridakos was questioned by Providence police and arrested on Memorial Boulevard. Police put him into an ambulance and transported him to the hospital with a head injury..
