PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) – If you’re looking for Rhode Island’s highest-ranking official over the next few weeks, you might get his automated out-of-office response.
R.I. Gov. Lincoln Chafee announced in a release Wednesday that he will be taking the next two weeks off, using allotted vacation and personal time.
The statement did not elaborate on how Chafee plans to use his time off.
Chafee said he has fully briefed Lt. Gov. Elizabeth Roberts and said she is “prepared to help out” in his absence.
