Red Cross assisting after Central Falls fire

CENTRAL FALLS, R.I. (WPRI) – Local Red Cross officials are helping two families after a fire broke out late Monday night inside their Central Falls home.

According to fire officials, the fire sparked around 10 p.m. at a three-story home on Cross Street. The Red Cross said it is helping a family of two adults and six children with emergency food needs, and a family of three adults with emergency housing and food needs.

There was no visible damage to the outside of the three-story home, through multiple crews were on scene and investigating the top floor.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

It is unclear is anyone was injured.
