FREETOWN, Mass. (WPRI) — A North Dartmouth woman was pronounced dead Tuesday morning following a motorcycle crash in Freetown.
The 53-year-old was riding her modified 2006 Harley Davidson on Route 140 northbound at the Washburn Street overpass at about 10:15 a.m. when she lost control and crashed, according to a spokesperson for Massachusetts State Police.
She was transported to St. Luke’s Hospital in New Bedford, where she was pronounced dead.
The cause of the crash is not yet known.
The right lane of Route 140 remains closed in the area as police and the district attorney’s office continue to investigate.
