HEALTH recommends 8 RI beaches reopen

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) – The state health department has recommended reopening eight Rhode island beaches for swimming

The following eight beaches were closed on Thursday, but will be open this weekend:

  • Barrington Town Beach
  • Conimicut Point Beach
  • Easton’s Beach
  • Goddard Memorial State Park Beach
  • Peabody’s Beach
  • Scarborough State Beach
  • Third Beach
  • Warren Town Beach

The health department made its recommendation based on results from water samples that show bacterial levels within acceptable limits.
