It’s a true story that sounds more like a big, Hollywood feature film: After escaping an attack in World War II by German fighters, a young, Jewish-American pilot makes his way across Europe before being recruited as a spy for the CIA. That man is the former governor for Rhode Island, Bruce Sundlun.
The World War II Foundation’s 11th documentary, “Above and Beyond”, tells this incredible story. Sundlun’s daughter, Kara Sundlun House, stopped by “The Rhode Show” to talk about this film and her role in the project.
Catch the screening for “Above and Beyond” on Thursday, Aug. 21 at 7 p.m. at the Providence Performing Arts Center. Admission is free. Email Tim Gray for tickets: email@example.com.
