WARWICK, R.I. (WPRI) — Police have identified the suspect in a Warwick bank robbery that took place early last month.
City police believe Patrick Silva of New Bedford entered the Santander Bank on Post Road on August 1 and demanded money from the teller.
He then fled north on Post Road on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash. Police said no weapon was shown.
Silva was arrested last Thursday in Massachusetts on an unrelated charge and remains in custody there.
Local charges against Silva are pending as the investigation continues between Warwick police, the Attorney General’s office, and the Massachusetts District Attorney.
