NORTH ATTLEBORO, Mass. (WPRI) — New court documents show that illegal drugs may have been found near semi-professional football player Odin Lloyd’s body in North Attleboro.

According to court documents obtained by Eyewitness News, prosecutors claim police found what they believed were illegal drugs near Lloyd’s body when it was discovered last year.

That detail was part of the prosecution’s response to a motion by Hernandez’s lawyers, asking that certain pieces of evidence be thrown out. Specifically, a scale and a dish seized from Hernandez’s North Attleboro home.

Prosecutors believe those items could be considered drug paraphernalia.

Hernandez is facing first-degree murder charges in Bristol County in connection with Lloyd’s killing. His body was found in June 2013 near Hernandez’s North Attleboro home.

The former Patriot also facing separate charges in Suffolk County in connection with a 2012 double murder in Boston.

Hernandez has pleaded not guilty to all three killings.
