Breast Cancer survivor Carol Donnely, as well as Gloria Gemma’s son Eddy Gemma, joined the Rhode Show on Monday to talk more about the celebration of life to support the Gloria Gemma Breast Cancer Resource Foundation.
Several events will take place over Columbus Day weekend from Friday, October 10 – Sunday, October 12. The celebration begins at the Flames of Hope Opening Reception on Friday evening at 6:30 p.m., with live entertainment at Station Park in Providence.

On Saturday, the Flames of Hope Celebration Village will open at 1 p.m. with over 45 vendors who will promote health, wellness, and eduction. At 3:30 p.m., One Wild Night will perform at the Main Stage, followed by the Illuminations of Life Ceremony at 6 p.m.
A 8 p.m., students from Mastery Martial Arts will be breaking boards for breast cancer, followed by a performance by Joshua Tree at 9 p.m. on the main stage.
- 5:30 p.m. – 11:30 p.m.: The WaterFire Store is open on Canal Street
- 6 p.m. – 10:30 p.m.: The WaterFire Arts Festival Plaza on Washington Street
- Sunset – 10:30 p.m.: Fire dancers will be performing along the river
The Providence River lights will be pink in support of breast cancer survivors and the Gloria Gemma Breast Cancer Resource Foundation.
