Police seek help tracking down attempted robbery suspects

NEW BEDFORD, Mass. (WPRI) – Police are asking for the public’s help tracking down two attempted armed robbery suspects.

On Friday, October 3, police say two men walked into the Cumberland Farms on Brock Avenue.

One suspect was carrying what appeared to be a firearm, but the clerk determined it wasn’t real.

The clerk told the men he was not giving them anything and they fled the store on foot without taking anything.

Suspect 1 is described as a white male in his twenties, about 5 foot 9, average build, and wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt with a white nylon mask.

Suspect 2 is described as a white male wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with a white nylon mask.

The clerk was not hurt.
