MANSFIELD, Mass. (WPRI) – Four people were hospitalized after a serious early-morning wreck in Mansfield.
Massachusetts State Police said the crash happened on 495 South near Exit 10 at about 130 a.m. Four people were inside a Toyota Camry when it ran off the road and ended up in a nearby treeline. Firefighters from Mansfield and Foxboro responded and took all the occupants to Rhode Island Hospital for treatment of serious injuries.
State Police said the driver was a 19 year-old woman from Seekonk, and the other passengers were two 19 year-old men and an 18 year-old man, all from Attleboro.
Pictures released by firefighters from both towns showed that the front part of the car had been torn off in the wreck.
State Police said they were still investigating the cause and circumstances of the crash.
