When Rhode Island filmmaker Tom DeNucci received a call from an old friend he’d grown up with, he had no idea how it would impact his life.
Kyle Cerilli suffered from Muscular Dystrophy and had an unyielding passion for horror movies. He sought Tom’s help, looking for some pointers with his own movie script.
Though Kyle eventually lost his battle, his spirit lives on through his family and friends who, led by Tom, are turning Kyle’s script into a reality to honor their friend. The film is a family friendly horror movie entitled “Slime-Buck: A Strange Tale of a Boy and His Monster” and is described as a cross between “Home Alone” and “ET”.
DeNucci hopes to have it officially released sometime early next year.
The Rhode Show got a behind the scenes look at production and learned what this great tribute all means to Kyle’s family.
